On May 15, 2024, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Ministry of Commerce, and National Energy Administration (NEA) jointly issued "Notice on Launching the 2024 New Energy Vehicle Rural Campaign", marking the official kickoff of the initiative.

The Notice instructs on selecting NEV models that are suitable for rural markets, reliable and enjoy great reputation, so as to organize coordinated roll-out of charging and swapping services, financial services including insurance, claims settlement, and credit, as well as after-sales services such as maintenance, aiming to improve the supporting environment of NEVs in rural regions. Support policies such as vehicle trade-in programs and the improvement of charging and swapping facilities will be implemented, ensuring that benefits are directly passed on to consumers.

Jicheng Zhitong Supports NEV Rural Campaign

On June 14, the 2024 NEV Rural Campaign officially launched in Changzhou, Jiangsu Province, under the theme "Green, Low-Carbon, Smart, Safe—Empowering New Lifestyles and Enjoying Sustainable Mobility", seeking to increase the adoption of NEV in the rural area, enhance green mobility, and drive rural economy revitalization. Officials from the MIIT, NDRC, and other ministries attended the event.

Over 40 leading automakers, charging equipment providers, and operators participated in the three-day exhibition, showcasing new products and technologies. As a key player in the NEV sector, Jicheng Zhitong was invited and presented its new-generation iES-ICS smart charging system, including off-grid AC charging piles, smart display charging piles, and portable AC chargers designed for home and parking. These products combine advanced technology with designs tailored for rural markets, in order to ensure robust charging support for NEV Rural Campaign.

Prior to the opening ceremony, officials including Guo Shougang, Deputy Director of the MIIT’s Equipment Industry 1st Department, Zhang Xing, Deputy Director and Member of the Party Leadership Group of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, Xu Jun, Vice Mayor of Changzhou, and He Yi, Deputy Secretary-General of China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, visited Jicheng Zhitong’s booth and commended highly the exhibited products.

During the three-day event, Jicheng Zhitong’s booth attracted extensive attention. Staff engaged with visitors by explaining product innovations and collecting market feedback, accumulating valuable insights for product development and improvement.
